On the 18th March we were preparing to go into lockdown. We knew it was coming and my family were preparing for what we now know as shielding. I remember thinking at that moment – I have to go to the beach…
It’s your birthday soon and I always get reminiscent around this time of year. I can’t quite believe you’ve been part of our world for almost 7 years. I remember the first moment you entered this world – passed up to me as you let out a huge, heart-warming cry. My precious baby. That moment changed my whole life, forever.
It’s Sunday morning and the sun is shining! Did I mention this is Scotland? Such a beautiful day for a family photo session on the beach.
It’s always such an honour to be invited into someone’s home to capture their family, just as they are. Every house is different, every family is different, but one thing is always constant – LOVE. And this home had love in abundance!
I met the family in the late afternoon, when the light outside is at it’s most beautiful. Their little boy was a tornado of energy and a real free spirit – which I totally love to photograph. Kids being kids is my favourite so I reassured the family not to worry
I recently posted some beautiful maternity photos I had the pleasure of shooting for a gorgeous mama-to-be. As a special treat, I teamed up with amazing local make-up artist Tiffany Dawson, to offer the mama-to-be professional make-up for her session.
My daughter started Tiny Tigers when she was 4 years old and she has loved every minute of the class since she began.
The sun is shining at I meet the family at Leith Hall, Gardens & Estate – one of my favourite places to visit in Aberdeenshire! It is also a special place for the family, as they love to come here and feed the ducks, have a picnic and just enjoy spending some time together as a family – a family of 3, soon to be 4!
I LOVE capturing images of my family. My babies and documenting their childhood and our family life, is my whole inspiration for starting my business Debbie Dee Photography. Family photography for me is all about capturing the real moments. I try to take photos of our life every week. These events may seem trivial at the time but I know, looking back, that the everyday moments are the ones I’ll treasure the most.
So many kisses!
This is what immediately springs to mind when I think about this beautiful Mummy & Baby. Kathryn just can’t stop kissing Corran – and nor should she!…(click on the photo above to read the full post)
